INVESTMENT PROCESS

INVESTMENT PROCESS

Following receipt of your full business proposition, your business plan will be analyzed by our investment team. After a successful initial review, your proposition will be assigned to a dedicated fund manager. A series of additional meetings and internal due diligence will help us understand your business. At this stage, a term-sheet will be issued (provided an ‘IQ Angel’ has been identified). The proposal will then be discussed with our Investment Advisory Committee, investment documents will be drafted and due-diligence completed. The IQCP team works efficiently to ensure a speedy investment process, which can usually be completed within two months.

Our investment model requires that all investee companies must have the support of an ‘IQ Angel’ (see Investment Philosophy), who is investing at least £25,000 (usually significantly more) in the same funding round. The IQ Angel must be prepared to commit to active involvement in the company post investment, generally as a board member or Chairman.

If we are satisfied your business represents a very strong investment opportunity but a private investor fitting the above criteria has not been identified yet, IQCP will work together with you to try to ensure a suitable individual from our IQ Angels network is attracted.

If your Company is suited to our model and it fits our criteria (see Investment Criteria) and is seeking investment, you can proposition directly to IQCP or, alternatively, through our Partner Networks: GEIF, OION and SWAIN.
