Im-Sense
Im-sense is a software company founded by Prof Graham Finlayson, of UEA, based on his extensive research and patent applications. The company has developed a unique digital image signal processing technology, Im-Vision.
Im-Vision is a dynamic range compression technology that improves the quality of all digital images (including videos) to make it look much more like the remembered scene. The ability to compress the dynamic range of any digital image allows effective display on a typical display device (or photo) - which have a much lower dynamic range than the original scene or the raw captured image. Importantly it allows full detail to be discerned in both shadow and bright areas of the picture, however challenging the original lighting conditions, without any noticeable artifacts or distortions in the picture. The software’s high performance is achieved at low power and all parameters are set automatically meaning that the software can be run continuously.
IQ Capital and Braveheart invested together with John Read who has taken the position of Chairman of the Board. John has previously been involved with Alphamosaic, Cyan Technologies, Elixent, and many others.
