INVESTMENT IN IM-SENSE LTD

IQ Capital Fund and Braveheart co-lead investment in imaging software company

20 June 2008 - IQ Capital is pleased to announce its next investment in a deal co-led with Braveheart Investment Group alongside a number of high net worth individuals. The £1 million financing of Im-Sense Ltd will be used to accelerate commercial opportunities, furthering product development and to embed its “Im-Vision” technology into a range of devices, including mobile phones.

Im-Sense was founded in January 2006 as a spin-out from the university of East Anglia and is focused on the development of a technology which enhances digital photographs and videos. It is the world’s first product to enable photographic enhancement automatically and instantaneously. This process, known as image signal processing, removes the need for time-consuming user intervention in post processing photography programs. Typical uses include salvaging underexposed photographs and videos with low lighting.

The Company is currently developing a pipeline of image signal processing products incorporating the Im-Vision technology. Development of the first product, post-processing software for PCs and printers, is now complete. Im-Sense’s long term goal is that the technology will be embedded in software within devices such as cameras, mobile phones or other displays, enabling picture enhancement to be carried out automatically. The technology is currently being evaluated by a number of global camera manufacturers.

Graham Finlayson, founder and CTO is a world recognised authority in the field of image processing. He has led a group of academics at the UEA in the Colour Group for 8 years and has built up an IP portfolio consisting of 8 live patent families.
